I’ve always been a very patriotic person. My Grandpa was a military man many years ago, but he never spoke much about it. I love the sight of the American Flag: high in the sky, waving in the wind…standing tall…makes me tear up. I always stand with my hand over my heart to sing, “The Star-Spangled Banner.” Most times I cry during the song…I visualize all the Americans over the years defending our freedom & risking their lives….it’s powerful!! It’s an honor to photograph families who serve our country. This family was about to say good-bye to their hero & I was thrilled to capture some touching moments they will treasure forever. From the bottom of my heart I want to “Thank you for all you do each & every day!” XOXO
